Rob Ward
Managing Director, Meritech
Rob Ward was a founder of Meritech in 1999 and focuses on investment opportunities in enterprise infrastructure, medical technology and the Internet. He has been directly involved with previous Meritech investments such as Acopia, Counterpane Internet Security, IntraLase, MarketAxess, Netezza Corporation, NetSuite, Quigo, and TopSpin Communications.
Rob joined Meritech from Montgomery Securities/Banc of America where he was a principal in the Private Equity Group, raising late stage capital for private information technology, financial services and medical technology companies. Prior to joining Montgomery, Rob was with Smith Barney, where he spent five years in the Corporate Finance Department in New York and San Francisco.
Rob received a B.A. degree from Williams College and a M.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and currently serves as tutor at Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto, California.
